GUI design of peer-to-peer (P2P) software

I joined a team of software developers in 2002 when Napster, an online music peer-to-peer file sharing service was popular. They were in a peer-to-peer software development with which people can peer-to-peer movie files each other.

I participated in designing its GUI (Graphic User Interface) while closely working with the programmers. The software came with a real time streaming audio/video player so people can view the file while downloading.

I was involved in the development as a only designer from the beginning until the launch and it was a great opportunity to learn a peer-to-peer network, in that it assumed each user of the web would be an active editor and contributor, creating and linking content to form an interlinked "web" of links.
